Artificial Intelligence has quickly become an integral part of our daily lives, and Augmented Reality is starting to blur the boundaries between the digital and physical realms.

We stand at a critical crossroads: Will these technologies widen the gap between our physical world and its digital counterpart, or will they bridge it?

When faced with a question about an item in your environment, do you turn towards it, or away from it?

Does your fridge know when to change its filter?

Can your espresso machine tell you how to clean its clogged steam nozzle?

Does your car know when its last oil change was?

Can your printer help you fix Error 02?

Does your plant know when it should be watered next?

Can your microscope provide you with calibration instructions?

Does your house know how to shut off the main water supply?

And can your book answer some questions you have about a specific chapter?

In each case, you probably need to take out your smartphone and start looking for the instruction manual or troubleshooting videos, searching forums for answers, or asking your favorite AI ChatBot.

That’s because the items in our physical environment are completely disconnected from any content related to them and are isolated from their digital counterparts.

We believe that:

  • Technology should serve as a bridge, not a barrier, to enhance our interaction with the physical world and to enrich our lives.
  • The potential for transforming our world lies at the intersection of the digital and the physical.
  • The future of interaction with the physical world involves transforming passive objects into active companions that communicate, educate, and assist.
  • The essence of each object extends beyond its physical form and includes all the knowledge, information, media, stories, and intelligence that are relevant to that object.
  • Our inquiries about an object should lead us to directly interact with it for answers, rather than turning away from it to seek them elsewhere.
  • Every individual should have the power to contribute to the identity and narrative of the objects that surround them.

That’s why we have created Disical: a digital layer for the physical world that transforms everyday objects into interactive smart companions. Each object is directly connected to relevant content and media, and can instantly answer our questions.

With Disical, you can:

  • Add content, notes, checklists, and stories to physical items
  • Upload images, schematics, and video guides for onboarding and proper operation
  • Attach important files and documents like instruction manuals, maintenance logs, or historical records
  • Create personalized AI assistants for each item that provide immediate answers and troubleshooting support

By layering products, places, and print materials with their relevant content and enabling them to answer our questions, we are bridging the gap between the digital and physical realms, creating a more intuitive, helpful, and connected “Disical” world.

Join the movement to bring our physical world to life, redefine how we interact with it, and embrace the Disical transformation.
